I've never used the dashmount. I always window mount to the upper left corner of the windshield. I would get a dash mount from the TA or something. They usually run about 25 bucks.

The mount for that unit to go on the dash actually runs $70. I saw it yesterday afternoon at the Love's. Pretty pricey for that little mount...
