I was hired out of school with an automatic company called Willis Shaw Express. They hire tons of new drivers. I also had one speeding ticket a few years prior. Not a bad company to start out with. I enjoyed my time there. People quit where they work and move onto a new company just to realize its still trucking. Like all companies the dispatcher is your boss. You either get a great one, a good one, a bad one, or a new one who is as stressed out as you at the new job. Try and keep a positive outlook on things and you'll be alright in life. :)

yep, pretty nice to have a gps you can be confident in.

2 years now, wouldn't try any other brand.

I use Streets & Trips exactly because you can easily make the routes be anything you want them to be. I would never blindly trust any GPS to route me anywhere, as I'm the captain of my ship and also the one who is ultimately held responsible should anything bad happen. Hence, I synchronize my company supplied truck routes into Streets & Trips.

I also use the Truck Stops Plus overlay because it adds all the truck stops, truck washes, rest areas, parking areas, turnpike service plazas, Weigh Stations, Wal-Mart Supercenters, etc., etc. to Streets & Trips and is super accurate and up to date.

Finally, I also use Google Earth too to look up my shippers and receivers. I look them up in Google Earth first, place a pushpin in the driver entranceways, and then copy and paste the coordinates that I get in the pushpin properties into Streets & Trips. In that way Streets & Trips provides turn-by-turn directions directly into my shippers and receivers driver entranceways. Also, once my shippers and receivers are set up in this way, I also save them for when I have to go back to them again in the future. I've also saved all my company terminals and drop lots in the same exact way.

Streets & Trips is a feature of the RM 720 or any GPS? Your idea is brilliant, thanks!

Doesn't the GPS provide exact directions?
I'm confused as to why you need Streets?
Do you use the GPS AND your compute at the same time?
Or does the Streets data copy into the GPS?
