Tom Tom sucks for trucks, so don't bother. Garmin is a well built unit but the software is just okay. RM has the best software and user features, but they aren't built as well as Garmin and tend to break down more often. My RM is over 2 years old so maybe they're better built now.Oldironfan Thanks this.

Besides Garmin, I have only a superficial understanding based on what I’ve been told.
Tom Tom... it’s ok but has a bunch of bad input from users.
Rand McNally... complicated.. not as good as Garmin?
Garmin... I love mine. I can be on a city freeway. Six lanes going four directions. It will give you an exact picture of the exact lane you need to be in. It does have lacks. There is so much info on all the roads. I’m sure it’s hard to keep up with everything. Yet in finding a truck stop. It will have you get off the freeway and take a tour five miles to get to the truck stop. When all you had to do was stay on the freeway. Example is Grand Junction Co. PilotRustyChops41 Thanks this. -

Yes Garmin or Rand Mcnally. I think rand mcnally bought out tbe old Pc miler gps maker. Ive used garmin and rand. Rand has better and more accurate routing. I think. But check the GPS every time you are moving after a stop. Or it may be routing you how it feels.
