    Yes... Buy me the 720 and I'll give him my 510. :) Seriously though, I LOVE my 510 and from what I've seen the 720 blows the 510 away.

    the 720 is decent...just make sure he knows how to trip plan and doesn't relly on it 100%

    we've got the 720 when it 1st came out (discount buy back for a 710)...... we love it.... if you have wifi in the truck you get LIVE weather (can over lay on the map, rain, wind, temp....ect), fuel price, live traffic (pay option), free lifetime map upgrade

    I like the traffic (built in FM) that Garmins provide. And yes, in many areas there is no FM traffic data signal available and Google traffic (on the phone) is then used for reference when it's prudent. With the Garmins, in metro areas, traffic is automatic and they do a good job of giving you a heads up about traffic issues ahead in time to deviate, telling you where the issue is and about how long you can expect to be delayed, and the level of data accuracy is pretty impressive for the most part.
