    I agree with getting shippers to help,but...I came from the other side of the coin,before trucking.
    Drivers use to call me at all hrs. of the night wanting directions.I honestly did not appreciate what
    was going on from the trucking side.I found them to be a pain,and I had to find the paper that gave
    directions from whatever side they were coming from.
    I was trying to run production,and could care less about some trucker..
    It was nothing personal,I just didn't understand some poor guy had been up waay longer than me,and just
    needed a little help.

    i am reading that the calls went to you via the switchboard or receptionist or directly.you should have had whomever answered initially give the directions. now most directions i get seem to be prerecorded and i have to retrieve them numerous times to get them down pat.the recording is so quick.

    kudos for helping those drivers in need however.
