CB. Old handwritten routes on notebooks from ol'hands. Atlas, lastly Rand McNally GPS/Google Maps Satellite View.

My Garmin 760 pees me off on an almost daily basis. Just know that you should never rely on the GPS to keep you off restricted routes. There's nothing like making a turn and being greeted with a 10 ton weight limit sign with no clear way to turn around.

Lol I appreciate the info everyone that answered the actual question. Everything I would do will be with the atlas. As I've done for years before I even step into a rig. Just looking for information on specific GPS for my own reasons. I prefer something over a phone sometimes because my service isn't the best out of state.

Can you "write off" a GPS?? This tax stuff for itemizing is new to me......

White_Knuckle_Newbie and Lunchbox379 Thank this.

Yep, write off any GPS, atlas, basic CB radio, some of your phone plan, etc, etc, etc.

Nice! Pretty much ANYTHING non-Food that has to do with the truck, correct?

Most anything that "helps or is needed for you perform your job" and that is not reimbursed. Even clothes to a point ... example you buy a set of warm coveralls to use when chaining to traverse mountain grades
Lunchbox379 Thanks this.
