I agree, copilot is the best in my opinion as well. Something I forgot to mention, copilot downloads its map database to your device. So when you have no data connection it still works, just need a GPS signal.
I first got copilot on my iPhone & it did very well, but like you said, the screen is very small. I had been resistant to try Android, but broke down & bought a 7" tablet. I wish I had done it much sooner, the Google Play store has way more apps and android is open source so I can play with development a lot easier than any iDevice. So far, I am totally digging my tablet, it does way more than i expected. I still love my iPhone though.

the problem with that idea though. is that the english language has become second in this country almost.
my phone and my copilot speak WONDERFUL english.
most shippers and receivers speak that language not native to this country. LOL -
Best routing option that I have found is MS Streets and Trips with GPS on my net book. No it isn't truck specific but I don;t care. I am not looking for something to tell what route to take. The DOT or I decide what route to rake...not a computer. What I like about "Trips", that no other software seems to have figured out, is that it's easy for me to choose my route. Just click and drag to match what the OS permit says and you're done.
FFE Driver Thanks this. -

copilot and pcmiler are the same company. same software.
you can also use the websight called truckmiles.com.
i've used both to compare the route with truckmiles. been spot on. so i don't even bother anymore. i just plot the address and drive. -

I know, I know, it's crazy, but it works for me.

Strange. The very first time I entered directions this site screwed it up. See the link below for this site's "shortest route" from Tampa to Charlotte. I entered the parameters and all was good until the tenth entry (Go South 20.5 miles on US-301 in FL to Jct US-301 & FL-A1A at CALLAHAN FL) where this website directs one to go back 20 miles south on the same road they just came north on (US 301). In fact, it should be directing drivers to go NORTH, not south, on US 301 at this junction. If this website is screwing up the very first time I ever used it, it sure as heck can't be "spot on." Where there is one goof, there are more.
