Congrats! IMHO, I believe Stevens is a good company to train with. Like some companies and the government the motto is typically 'hurry up and wait.'

Well it has been 10 days otr..what a blast!!! I have a great trainer that is letting me do 99% of all the backing, dock bumpin' and all misc. daily trucker stuff..I don't know if it is a blessing or not but we don't have e logs, so I am learning all the old ways..the qualcomm is a bit to get used to reading but not bad.
Hit the nail on the head with "Hurry up and wait"...one thing I have absolutely learned...produce loads suck!!!!
Well back to the waiting game here in Yuma, AZ.
    Will update when I can..

    Gears Thanks this.

Produce loads are the best wait till you put fresh chicken packed in ice on your truck.

    I guess I should clarify..waiting at 3 or 4 different farms sucks...lol
Now that you mention nekked chickens, I am not looking forward to that!!!
    But freight is freight...if I can't turn, I can't earn!

    Today was a good day..
Learned how to "progressive" shift...it seems a little odd not getting the rpm s up before shifting...but seems to work for fuel economy..
First dock I bumped today looked like I was born with a KW beneath me...1st shot
Second one looked like a loony bin patient at chucky cheese...I stopped counting at my 11th try..but finally got it there...oh well
    Tomorrow is another day...

Alrighty then... end of third week..a little over 5000you miles and 2 major mountain passes behind me..shifting has become second nature both up and down..learned to use the jake brake, it sure makes life easier.almost got the hang of the stoopid reverse gear too!! Lol..counting the days to be back in dallas ..closer to getting my own truck...

    Gears and DenaliDad Thank this.
