If you are a new driver looking for a school that hires out of school I highly recommend Melton Truck Lines. I don't start with them until Monday in Tulsa, OK but they have been fantastic through the application process and approval. I applied to them last night and within 30 minutes I had a phone interview and today another recruiter called me to get every question possible for the hiring department answered ahead of time. Plus they helped me out with jury duty that I got summoned for for March 11th (which will happen during training). They made it a priority first to get me a letter to have it postpone to a later date. They never dropped the ball and worked with me and kept communicating with me throughout the day with the application process and jury duty process. Within 1 whole day I was approved and have orientation on Monday 2/12.

I don't want to bash a company but Cypress truck lines dropped the ball while Melton Truck Lines helped me out. I would've been with Cypress on Monday but they really didn't care that I had jury duty and wouldn't even work it out with me. I had to talk to the recruiter manager twice to finally get her to accept to write a letter to get it postpone even tho she was told 5+ times that a letter will be accepted by the court of clerk for me to postpone the jury duty but she wanted to argue that the letter won't work at all. I still never received the letter from her to this very moment. Plus Melton training/orientation is 1 month while Cypress is 2 months and I'll make more money in the 2 months with Melton over Cypress.

But it will be nicer in 6 months, after you have gone through the process and have worked for them for some time.tscottme, broke down plumber, nextgentrucker and 3 others Thank this. -
I'll make sure to give a 6 month update on them. Hopefully it won't get worse and it stays as good as the recruiters have made itbroke down plumber, Moosetek13, Numb and 1 other person Thank this.

Yeah, I'm in Training with Cypress now, they're decent, and I'd say if you live in Florida then they will be a good option for you, because of their Florida-Only lane. Hope everything works out for you man!broke down plumber and Ryan0077 Thank this.

I'm in south Carolina so not too far from FL but it kinda pissed me off they couldn't help with something minor and it was going to run through my training time. Hopefully it all works out with you thobroke down plumber and nextgentrucker Thank this.
