Also, an APU is important for those long runs coast to coast. Companies won't let you idle the truck while stopped on breaks or layovers. With an APU, you shut the truck engine off and start the APU, so now you have electrical power for heating, cooling, television, computer, refrigerator, etc.

Good for you. I admire a man with conviction. Hopefully though you have put the world of drugs behind you. Getting a conviction that involves a CDL will bar you from the industry.
Prison life, if you did time, will prepare you for life in a truck. You have as much space in a truck as you do in a normal prison cell. Lots of time on your hands. Other people in control of you movements. Long hours and the food suc ks. Lots of things in a truck you can make shanks with.x1Heavy, tscottme, austinmike and 1 other person Thank this. -
Its a battlefield of the mind, It relates to my life daily. I look at it like the military, without the veterans day meals or the retirement. Unfortunately employers don't always see it the same. To have no representation other than an application online for your charactor is tough, I figure whomever lets me drive there truck, I will do my best and thank them for the oppurtunity
