Miles per week are in the 2500 - 2900 range. They have managed to get the "relaying loads" down to a fine art which maximizes your miles per week as well as your home time. We do several weekly loads to South Carolina, not sure what you mean when you say, "the south east". We have a lot of Georgia loads, no Florida, some Alabama. We have a couple of drivers that live in Georgia. One thing about GI I find pretty neat is - When a driver requests specific home time, I see all kinds of calls going out to all our affiliates requesting specialized loads to exactly where that driver needs to go. For example, we have a driver who lives in Texas and needs to be home for a Dr's apt on Thursday. His dispatcher started sending out load requests the day she got his home time request. They tagged the perfect load for him this afternoon. Now you tell me any other company that would even BOTHER? If you are ON TIME with these meat loads, they will move mountains to keep you happy. BUT YOU HAVE TO BE ON TIME!!!!! You come here to work!

Since you don't have class A experience, they may have you go with a trainer for awhile. From a couple of weeks to a couple of months. We have got several in that program right now.

Hi Kiteflyer; Thank you for the great info. I recently checked GIE's website and looked at the Student Trucker criteria. It's showing in red "Nebraska residents only". Is this always a requirement to be a student? If not when will this restriction be lifted? Thx again.
