This place is one of the biggest running jokes for those like myself that run them big red trucks with the grey and blue box on the back. You can be there for 30 minutes and be back on your way, or you can be sitting there for 20 hours or more waiting on this place to have your load ready. Drop and hooks quickly turn into live loads. The parking area across from the gate turns into a swamp with just a little bit of rain. Plus on top of that, they are some of the most stringent when it comes to the condition of the trailer inside and out.

Yep, I sure am in Cookeville. Made perfect sense to me to go with who i am with. Especially from the pay standpoint and home time. But then again I was with England first so anything would probably have been a step up in pay. West Monroe has been a running gag and for me its been 50/50 on good and bad. Others have gone there and had nothing but problems.

Well every place you go has its ups and downs. To be honest with you I really don't have much I can complain about. Better pay than I had with the previous company. Better benefits too and I got the fuel bonus for this last quarter. Plus the great thing is I am still learning and becoming a better driver in the process. I appreciate the offer but I think for now I am going to stick to where I am. You know what they say, the grass may seem greener on the other side but until you go there, you never really know.

Yep.... i had a neighbor who worked there at the time. It was the only place he had ever driven and he really loved it there. He convinced me to give it a try but i couldnt get any miles from them and i had a dm that had just started and he had no experience...

Have heard things have improved some there....good luck and be safe neighbor.... dont be a stranger now...

I think either they have improved or I just got a DM that is just tolerable enough to be able to drive for this company and be reasonably happy with them. Being bribed with more money is a help there. Can't get much stranger than a truck driver. Keep the shiny side up.

You start to get to know customers the longer you are out here. Some places I won't waste my time going into unless I have confirmation that the load is ready and waiting. G.P. in Zachary LA is one of those places. That place is rude and load trucks when they feel like it.

    tow614 Thanks this.
