Hands down, the best degreaser I have used is Greased Lightning. 17 years in the Army, 7 on tanks and countless (pain in the ###) turn ins of grease-stained issued uniforms under my belt. It is a spray on that you can pre-treat with, then take the top off and pour a bit in the washer and let it go on warm water. Give it a try.

I'm probably gonna die of liver cancer from all that crap I used to spray when I was a mechanic. We used to sit in the front office of the Shell station where I once worked and shoot wasps out of the air... some people's kids... I tell ya. -
I learned about it when I was going to school, I leaned over the catwalk and got tangled up in grease covered pigtails. The secretary suggested it to me, and so I sprayed my jacket down, and added some to the wash water, and let it all sit in teh tub about 15 minutes. Couldn't tell I'd been mucking about a truck after that. -
Use diesel fuel to remove the grease, and will tide to get rid of the diesel. Me and my son share the enjoyment of tearing down engines and tranny's just because they are there.
This works on our Levi's and tee shirts. and our hands also. but you may need a good Balm for your hands. -

Try some good old shampoo. A trick I picked up from a fellow high school football parent for getting football uniforms clean. We then tried it on some of hubby's greasy clothes, and it works pretty good on that too.
