Whether or not a suspension from 11 years ago is going to hurt you depends on the carrier and how they ask about it. Read how the question is worded and respond accordingly.
If a question starts with "Have you ever [. . .]?" You should list it.
If a question starts with "In the past 10 / 7 /5 years, have you ever [. . .]?" Don't list anything outside of the specified time frame.
You should never lie on an application but you should never provide more information than what is being asked either.
For example, if an application says "Have you ever been convicted of a felony?"
If you aren't a convicted felon, you simply say "No".
You don't answer "No, but in 1982 I received a speeding ticket and I forgot to pay it. Since I didn't pay it, I had a misdemeanor bench warrant issued for me and 3 weeks after the warrant was issued I was a passenger in another vehicle when the driver was stopped for not coming to a complete stop at a stop sign. Due to my warrant I was arrested and had to go before a judge to take care of my speeding ticket where I spent a night in county lockup until my parents could loan me the money for the ticket."Jazzy J Thanks this. -
If a company doesn't want to hire me because i didn't have insurance over 10 years ago ok that's their choice i'm not going to get an ulcer about it.
I'm cool now with this. -

Are you implying that people should go around giving out extraneous information that wasn't asked for? If a prospective employer wants to know a 3 year job history, am I obligated to list everything I've ever done? Am I obligated to provide my high school GPA when asked if I have a high school diploma or GED?
I'd love to have a discussion with you, but I need to be aware of what it is we're arguing.Bean Jr. Thanks this. -
