Have a Great Dane spread axle reefer. Today the ABS light lit up on the side of the trailer, as well as a notification light on the dash.
Soon after, my left directional on the trailer only stopped working, yet all lights work, brake lights work fine, everything else is normal. Right directional works properly.
Can't really find the problem, any ideas?
Not sure if the ABS light problem is connected to left directional issue, or separate problems not related?
Great Dane light ???

If its a Bendix brake system try (and I think this is the right order) unplug the pigtail for at least 10 seconds then plug it in and run back to the truck and push the brake down for 5 seconds and the ABS light should then blink out a fault code. It will be like blink blink blink........blink =31 The code will tell you left or right side, front or back axle and the problem. More than likely its a wheel sensor short.
rogueunh Thanks this. -
try to pulll codes with dashboard. MID 137 is the trailer ABS ore TEBS, but MID137 codes appeare if you use ABS cabel with CAN (7 pins), if you got 5 pin cabel - no CAN, so use blink codes.
first of all identify trailer abs ore ebs unit.
Brands: Wabco (Vario ABS, VCS, VCS-II, TEBS-C, TEBS-D, TEBS-E), Bendix/Knorr (TABS gen1, TABS gen2, TEBS, TEBS Gen2), Haldex trailer (ABS ore EBS), Eaton ABS.
They share some SAE J1708/1587 codes, but blink codes are all differentrogueunh Thanks this. -
