Great jobs in Texas

not enough demand for experienced crude drivers? i am planning a trip myself, should be in texas about a week from now. i have tanker experience, but not crude. would i get a job?

 

No, I'm out here looking for anything, if the office door is open I go in and start talking, I have writers cramp I have filled out several applications, I am waiting to hear back, I was in a couple places yesterday where the receptionist would take the app. back to the manager or whoever hires and then come back, and then they would call and tell her to tell me that they would be looking it over.... I think that means "Thanks but No Thanks" we will see.

 

You may have better luck, I don't have my HazMat yet, They may be looking for that and experience... we will see!!! Start looking around before you get here.

 

Has anyone heard of any companies offering rotating schedules in Texas?

 

If you have experience i dont think you will have trouble at all. I think hazmat is something that helps but experience and a good MVR is what they are looking for. With that being said there are a lot of jobs here and i am sure some companys will work with people that dont have the experience.

You need hazmat and tanker... Almost all but sun coast ask me about it. Heading to do my tour of Texas may 8th... Texas Hr people are awesome so far.

 

I appreciate it, I just filled out a sheet load of paperwork from a company I sent my resume to yesterday, It looks like background check and that type of stuff. We will see. Anyone looking for work there is plenty of it here, I was in Wal Mart the other day and a lady asked me if "I wanted a PT Job?" I said no but they must need people!!!

 

This is not exactly true! They are asking that one have it but that WILL NOT hold one back from being hired but you are required to get it within 60 days. Thank You.

 

Are they hiring with no tanker experience? I have all my endorsements and my haz-mat and 4 years driving, just never pulled any liquid.
