Is that a hint of sarcasm I can detect?????????
.....LOL.

Great Lakes took a friend of mine for $30,000, for a c15, That they had 600 cat liner kits in, and never changed the crank. Could not get it running right, then dropped a valve with in 50 miles! Then told him it was his problem. Then it cost him another $18,000 to have it put together the right way. They are fighting it out in court now..
-
I don't know how they are still trading I haven't heard any good feedback on them, they must pray on people like me that have never heard of them before and who believe them.
Do you ever win taking them to court??????
I guess the USA is such a large country that not everyone has heard about them. -
They are still fighting it out, He also charged him a crazy price for a cust grind cam shaft... it was just a factory 550 cam. I just wonder how many more people they screwed...

What gets me is the parts turning up with no part numbers, the injectors I got where brand new and I paid $7100us for 7,I know that sounds expensive to you guys in the States but over here I would be paying that for a set of stock remans with a core return.
He did tell me I need one of there ECMs.......$3500us even I can get them cheaper over here!! -
What does he claim he can do to the ECM for that price???????
There is a shop here in the US that claims they can advance injection timing, along with much higher RPM than 2300. They want alot less than $3500US. -
I talked to Rick himself about the ECM he asked ME what numbers I wanted in it.......I think its like what fte05 said about the 550 cam,he gets stock parts and passes them on as modified and clips the ticket as it goes past.
Also I see his web site is back up and running, part of me wants to buy parts off him as he seems to have everything I need,BUT when he tells me things like the "C-16s have 2 different crankshafts one makes higher compression" I think differently.TURKER Thanks this. -
Isn't there any marine/industrial pistons for C-16? Great Lakes is not doing anything custom themselves, they are all stock parts from different engines. You can machine stock pistons for lower compression but I think 3.2 bars is not too much for your engine if you have liner protrusion set to maximum.
C16KIWI Thanks this. -
If he's asking you what numbers you want in it.............he's talking FLS/FTS. Price gouging is all he's doing at those prices. There are big differnces in flash files also........he should be telling you what the best file is for power gains in a C-16. If he doesn't know then he shouldn't be selling this stuff, cause all he's doing is taking your money for nothing.C16KIWI Thanks this.
