I am not saying not to give it a shot.. From the outside looking in everything looks really good...They don't lie to you when you lease on, if you ask what the fleet avg is on miles or money they will tell you. Say 2300 miles.. and 1600 $.. What they leave out that includes trucks that go and help on other accounts like Tyson all their dedicated (and it is just the top 10 drivers $ wise.)

Here is why I am so negative on them right now.. Like I said from teh outside looking in it looks great. Here is what it looks like from the inside looking out. They over hire drivers you are constantly sitting by the phone waiting all hours of the day.. If dispatch time is from 6 to 9am and they call you at noon.. They are going to roll your pta 24 hours.. Thats not a big deal right.. But hold on.. If your pta was say 12-29 -10 at 0001.. they are not rolling you 24 they roll it 24 hours from now... so it is really 36 hours. All of those drivers that got in after you will get out before you.. Which on busy times of the year isn't a big deal.. but right now as slow as we are after the holidays. that may be 4 days.. My point is you are married to this job and don't have the option to have a life. They will threaten to term you over taking days off and so on and so forth... I am just saying buyer beware.

Wal Mart makes the same loaded and empty.. But walmart has taken control of all their inbound loads so guess who gets most of those. the mileage rate here is .765 plus FSC.. avg .30 35 to 40$ per load pulled 21$ for every stop except the last and 21$ for all back hauls. You get $30 ph for sitting after 2 but you have to fight tooth and nail to get it and god forbid you leave the DC 5 minutes early or late as they will not pay it they will say you gave you your right to detention because you left either early or late. If you avg it out you make about 1.01 per mile. but you dont get but 700 to 1500 per week.. Make a truck payment on that lol

Yeah bigfat.. that is the problem here you are a glorified company driver , that doesn't make any money. Good Luck in your endeavors..

I talked to a LONG TIME driver last night he lives on the yard does anything they have and he is averaging 1000 a week and about 900 miles.. Great company is breaking people..

Does GW actually find and dispatch loads for the van and reefer div.? They do nothing for the flat/stepdeck div.except take 25% of everything. It gets worse by the day, they have no freight of their own.The freight is all double brokered.

Seems like when fuel prices go up,GW loads rates go down. They list more and more loads as partials. When it weighs 35,000 lbs.it's a full load.Cheap, not even a Christmas card from GW.
