Mine does the same thing, but at this point it doesn't matter because you both get the showers from it, Id worry about it once you get your own truck. roehl uses the qualcom i think to determine the fuel mileage. the entire time i was out with my trainer i used my tch and comdata, but when id put my fuel message in it would still come up right. so i dont think it matters, they know what truck your on. Good luck

I wish you well...but let me (and all of us) forewarn you...if you think THIS is unfair, wait until you're on your own. It gets better....

I know at our company the trainee's Comdata card is attached to the truck... Company or Lease driver, the computer and payroll knows who the bill goes to...

Also, it prevents the trainee from stealing advances or charging items to the trainer... As a trainer, the load advance is considerably larger to the trainer than it is to the trainee... Its an amount that is automatic, our drivers have the choice to take it and be charged for it on payroll or leave it and not get charged...

Advances are like loans and the Fleet Manager is like the Loan Officer... you build up trust and a history with the guy. Trainee has none of this.

My trainer would trade off every now and then so I could get a shower, but I didn't push the issue. be sure to pick your battles

after 20 years of driving, it seems strange that you would need a trainer.:biggrin_25514:

heres my opinion, and my trainer agrees...he is making more than enough money on me, we take turns swiping cards. so far this week i have driven almost 2k miles in 4 days, at $.38/mile that is $760 plus $200 when I upgrade plus a $500 bonus when i hit 6 months and 1 year.

And with PAM, whoever is logged driving when at a fuel stop uses their comdata card and logs it in their log...your log, your fuel stop.

Your trainer sounds like a real piece of work. But then again, it is his truck, but I wouldn't do it. Next time you fuel tell him "Hey sahole, its my turn.

who ##### cares weather you get to swipe your card or not, don't make waves pay your own shower if you must. don't make waves. your trainer can decide your future with that company just shut your mouth and do what your suppose to do, and learn as much as you can while your with your trainer.

yeah but heres the thing, the trainer is making $1,000+ a week basically getting solo pay for team driving, student is making $300, and gets $50 when he starts. The free shower, buying food with points, those really help a student. That trainer is indeed being greedy imo. is he really goping to miss the points he could be sharing? I bet he is a winner in life too.

I'm glad my trainer is cool. he bought me lunch at dennys because im broke till tomorrow. He puts the student above personal gain. so i'm happy to bust my ### learning and racking up miles.
