To start HAPPY NEW YEARS to all. My name is Kevin im from the Tuscaloosa, Al. I am an eleven year crane op. In the steel industry who was laid off due to this great economy we are presently experiencing. After exhausting all savings in search for a decent paying crane op. Job I was forced to back up and punt before things got bad for my wife and myself. So that's the story of why im here I have committed to the very different life of otr. I am currently in training with what seems to be a great company. PRIME INC. Aside from the training being long and grueling process and the trucks being rolling road blocks it has been a pretty good experience. It hasn't been to hard to adapt to the physical part due to the fact that I've been around similar jobs in the heavy equipment game most of my life. Its the being away from your loved ones constantly that will be the biggest hurdle. But it will get easier with time im sure. As you saw previously I am married for 10 yrs or maybe its 36 yrs I can't remember. But seriously my wife and family are great and very supportive. Im 34 yrs old and my wife is 28 and we have no children. Im a country boy by nature not a (redneck) lol there's a big difference. Only southern folk will understand that. I am a fisher slash hunter or was I guess I should say do to t he fact it probally wont be high on the list now. But. I just wanted.to give a little info and I look forward to reading and posting more in the future. I mayeven start a new thread on what to expect from prime training to help add onto silenteagles current thread on the su next maybe it can help ppl thi.king of doing the same.
