I used to drive for Greyhound it sucked
you start on the extra board on call 24/7 but you for the most part get home everyother day
You deal with ########## everyday from managment to the passengers to other drivers who will steal your runs and screw you over spend 30min on hold for a dispatcher almost every time best thing I did was quit:biggrin_25519:

You'll need your passenger endorsement , of course . A lot of smaller companies hire part-time drivers . I knew a driver that had casino runs . Before passengers came out of he casino for the return trip he'd put his hat upside down on the dash and put a $10 and $20 bill in it . He got pretty good tips from people that managed to come out winners .

So, As a new driver for Greyhound Bus what kinda of Monthly income could one expect to make.

I know what the hourly salary is but how many hours can one expect to work?

    Is it a decent life?

I'd suggest he ride a couple of hundred miles on a bus then reconsider . From what I've seen of passengers unloading at Pilots you couldn't pay me enough to drive with my back to them .

Busses are not so bad. I drive for a tour bus company now and then. You have to like people. You get some a-holes. You get an automatic and you sleep in motels - how about that?

Ain't no way on God's green earth you could pay me enough to drive a Greyhound, shuttling some of the filthiest dregs across the country. No way. I've ridden a few and I'm here to tell you... there just ain't no way. Huh-uh. Rather haul hogs.

I sincerely apologize for not answering your question, but...

    ... just ain't no way.:biggrin_25513:

May not be a lot of difference in the odor - but at least the hogs are not in the same enclosed space you are!:biggrin_25525:
