My figures is a rough ballpark. Details are the bane of the devil in my world. I don't do unnecessary detail work.
That probably dated from Algebra one class with a excessively demanding teacher insisting on detail solutions. Not just answers but also the process by which you reached that answer backed by a check problem of that answer.
I walked out one day from that class. It was either that or deck that teacher. They had a big powwow that afternoon and dictated to me that my senior year will consist of three morning classes of the most basic type and the rest of my day will be working minimum wage outside of school.
Data entry at a library with excessive detail work.MACK E-6 Thanks this. -

in over 35 yrs driving OTR never had a company say anything about my average speed.
most were no gov. or governed at 75-77 trucks.
but, then again I've never driven for a mega carrier. largest was 750 trucks. -
You know, of all the company trucks I drove, strangely, that was never an issue. The trucks never went that fast,, It wasn't until I got my Pete, that I actually drove a truck that could get me in trouble, and the logs were a joke. We'd send in anything that would make compliance happy. Everybody knew it was total BS.
PoleCrusher, MACK E-6 and booley Thank this. -
end of the day with a calculator trying to make the paper log match reality. lol.

I once got a violation on an inspection conducted in Montana at the Lima scale (jerk*... if you've ever stopped there, you know) for part of my trip in California. He used Zip Codes and calculated that I exceeded the speed limit. I explained that the trip was from the eastern edge of the beginning to the western edge of the end so the actual distance was less than what he was using. Still wrote me a violation.
So for my next trip I put new batteries in my calculator and used a sharper pencil.
*Although he did have some good recommendations for dinner.
