Groendyke is advertising for drivers in the Dayton, Ohio area. The ad says food grade loads. Anyone know anything about this? I'm gonna call the company Monday but I just want to try and get some advance intel here.

Good thread RD. I would venture to say that there must be some kind of insurance break the more safety features get installed on the trucks. I know I would trip the roll warning on one particular corner a few times and just slowed way down before it.
Unfortunately that collision warning system is gonna become a PITA. If you are rolling in the right hand lane, and a car passes you, then moves over to get out of the way of other cars that wanna get to where they are going, guess what that car, that didn't really cut it too close when moving over in front of you, will set off. You the driver had the proper following distance, and someone took it away. Nothing you can do about it, but the alarm will still go off. Worse yet, if it is tied to the cruise control, guess who just started slowing down.
Safe travels.Adrienna Brown and rubberducky68 Thank this. -
A good friend of mine used to work out of a terminal near Bay City Texas.
Unfortunately he quit because of the money situation. -

I am going to the terminal you are talking about tomorrow. Picking up a load out of there. -
If you tell GT you want to run, they will run you. I have been going non-stop since I left out last Tuesday. Should make for a nice paycheck.

Well, the ad for Dayton is gone from Indeed.com, and the Groendyke site says "Dayton Who?", so I guess it was a limited time offer. It's okay, I got time to wait.
rubberducky68 Thanks this. -
Forgot to mention. We get quarterly safety bonuses here. I just got one. It was pro-rated since I started in mid November but hey better than nothing. It was money I didn't have before so I'll take it.
Adrienna Brown, QualityMike and 88 Alpha Thank this.
