I'm in the philly area and have been told that gas haulers around here make a pretty decent living, 70-80k range. Theres also a bunch ltl outfits along with companies like sysco that offer both a decnt wage and normal-ish work schedules. But i believe you need some recent prior experience to get in with any of these outfits. Might have to politley tell the wife that you'll have to do your time otr first before you can settle into a local job. From what ive encountered so far, you gotta do your otr first before having a legit shot at getting good local stuff.
