I was & am upset by what they did , but not mad ! I thought I was writting this rather well , but when the first DAC report dispute came back unchanged , I thought it should be known as an ongoing part of this thread ! See I quit them for another job & now that one fell thru & after filling out numerous applications , it was basially wasting my time , because what they wrote is hurting my chances at other employment & I will not start at the bottom again ! I would rather flip burgers than start all over in trucking ! After 30 years I served my time at the bottom of the heap ! I would never get to upset by things , but come-on these reports are so stupid it hurts . Would be different if trucking companies all told the trueth , but we know better than that !! :)

Don't put up with any guff on your DAC. The fake employment report remains for 7 years, not the 3 years that most drivers believe it is. It's 3 years for drug and alcohol info and 7 years for everything else, such as accidents and truck abandonment. If you are innocent, then get copies of your Quaalcom records. By law, Quaalcom is required to keep your records for 6 years. If someone accuses you of truck abandonment, Quaalcom will prove where that truck was actually left. If accused of an accident, Quaalcom will show how long you spent at the so-called offending location. Also contact the local police in that area to see if they have any accident reports. Courts demand proof, not he said, she said speculation. Quaalcom is a GPS system that tracks and records every 5 feet of movement that your truck made. THANKS TO THE MARYLAND STATE POLICE FOR THIS INVALUABLE INFORMATION!

:biggrin_25510:Just for a update , I filed the second report with "hireright" it came back the exact same way . The GSTC people will not budge on it . I guess DAC's are like elections , see who can spread the most mud ! If they wish to play dirty , 2 can play that way ! Do not take this wrong , anything I say on here is 100% pure trueth , I (unlike GSTC) have nothing to lie about , just tell it like it happened !

I disagree follow the law and your own moral guidance. Company policy does not override at will employment .
Outlaw this is becoming a problem, where as carriers know that most of the damage comes from drop trailers here and their. They 99.9% of the time cant prove the dc did it or whom did it . so they blame their own driver . It's ########### at best . If your working at a large carrier you would inevitably spend all your time documenting damages and reporting things .
Its their equipment and as most things in this industry lawful or not the answer is usually to blame us .
When you get bac on your feet save a lil bit when you can hire a lawyer and hold them accountable.
If they cant prove it factually just as they cant prove where the damage happened , like burger king you will most likely have it your way . hearsay is non sense. The next driver whom grabs the wagon say's its damaged doesn't qualify legally as indicating that you infact damaged said trailer just because you were the last one to roll with it lmfao @ carriers your going to get owned ..
Get a lawyer and settle it in court :biggrin_25525:

I agree with this , but it was sad , because they tell us to report damage on trailers (of thiers) when you are picking up or dropping a trailer thier ! I took photo's with thier disposable camera & the people where the trailer was at , said it was thier fault . My problem was I should have made copies of everyhing for myself . Ashame when we have to start doing this to protect our DAC report . We will need to have a filing cabinet just for all the imformation we store for the jobs we do ! Most drivers get upset when you pull into a company for a drop - hook & find the trailer you are hooking has serious damage to it ! So , I guess you as a driver should only worry about the trailer you are going to hook & screw the next guy ?? I gave dispatch all the imformation I had with me , then they denied it knowing I probably did not copy it ! A life lesson that has cost me alot !

So instead of following the guidelines that you agreed to when you accepted employment with the company, you're saying it's better to not break the law and follow your own moral compass. Then after being unemployed for some time, get a job and save up a few bucks, then sue the company. Seems to me like it would be better to just follow the policies and resign correctly. Then dispute anything on your DAC that you do not feel is accurate. It seems to me that this way would have a better short term and long term outcome.

However I'm still confused here why one damaged equipment claim on your DAC is preventing your from getting a job? There are plenty of companies that would easily overlook this.
