I see trucks often with lights out, I will say something on the cb and they never reply and just shoot past me.

I see the same, and do the same. If they don't answer (most don't), then screw 'em I say. They are an inspection waiting to happen IMHO.
Funny how most of the trucks getting inspected are the ragged out looking ones though isn't it?

yeah I make sure to check my lights, I even wedge my brakes to check those too, a lot of drivers I ask how they check their brakes "ummm I cant"
I have not been through an inspection yet but lights surely wont be what they get me on if they even find anything, we received a message over the qualcomm recently that most of the violations have been lights, those only take 30 seconds to walk around and check....

It frustrates me when I'm pulling into a scale and see a truck passing me with Prepass with lights out, mudflaps missing, etc. Yep, sure makes me feel safer....

but you never know they might get pulled into the next one.

I was bragging how for the past month I wasnt pulled into a single weigh station, the next day I got pulled into 5/6 weigh stations I passed going from California to Washington, lol guess I should of knocked on wood.

I am never worried about getting pulled in, I just prefer I dont have to do it and lose time.

I honestly don't see it stopping anyone, with zero chance of stopping dot. plus out now adds one more reason to break into your truck. snakes sell for quite a bit of coin. also in some parts of the country you have to have a permit to own rate and or exotic pets. many snakes fall on this list, so you may find yourself being pulled in at port of entries.

I have a pet rattle-boa-venom-tooth-copper-python that goes with me. He's very mean, we battle all the time with shields and swords. His last owner was in a Harry potter movie
