I have this piece of paper that my daughter holds onto, because she’s proud of her truck driving dad.

It actually has the word Degree on it. She thinks it’s great. I think it isn’t worth the paper it’s printed on.

    Dreams change.

If that’s true, why the restriction?

There isn’t one. Other than the regulation on restriction if not trained on a manual ;)

If you are from the greater Pittsburgh area, The oilfield is all around you. Go get a job. These days they will take you without a CDL. Some will send you to school. Work one year and save all the money. Then go drive truck. Guys can make 65K plus without a CDL. Even the low paying jobs with all the overtime you end up making a lot of money. You have a pulse you’re pretty much hired.

I know how much oil field work sucks, not for me, plus it is very unstable, I used to live in an oil town(Midland, TX) I’ve seen how people can have jobs one day, and half the town is unemployed 2 months later

I’m in Washington, PA. Haven’t been laid off in 9 years. Really never slowed down either. The work does suck though. But I had some easy gigs, especially last 4.5 years.
