I have had the GC filters in my truck for 3 years now. I have a KW with a 525 Cummins N14. I use Schaeffer 9000 5w40 full synthetic oil and I buy an 18 pack box of filters from Jerry. I change my filters every 20,000 and I send in an oil sample to both GC and to Schaeffer so I can compare the results. My motor was rebuilt at the same time I installed my GC filter. My engine currently has 180,000 on the rebuild and my results are coming back in the normal range. Regardless of the paper towels on the GC filter, I am not only saving money with less oil changes, I have the peace of mind knowing my oil is clean 24/7 as I'm rolling down the road. With Schaeffer in every box on my truck, I have increased my fuel milage 1 mpg. With the Schaeffer grease, my greasing interval has doubled. The moly content in their products far exceed any other manufactures products. I also run a Bullydog ECM tuner and Bridgestone Ecopia drive tires. I've owned my big bunk truck for 12 years and it's regularly in the 8's and occasionally in the 9's under a load. When I first bought it in '06 my ecm said it was averaging 6.
