NHC warns of 20' storm surge.
Rideandrepair, sealevel and Getsinyourblood Thank this. -
Keep in mind that many people are still working from home, lots of places are still limiting capacity, lots of travel still isn't happening.
Hurricane may effect the refineries, but fuel usage is still below precovid times.Rideandrepair Thanks this. -
That puts I 10 underwater in places. This storm will do to Louisiana what Katrina did to Alabama and Mississippi. Maybe worse.Rideandrepair and Wasted Thyme Thank this.

Parts of Louisiana are so used to being underwater their citizens have grown gills.Snailexpress, Rideandrepair and 650cat425 Thank this.

I hope you are right. Louisiana hasn't seen a storm like this for over a hundred years. Mostly poor but very independent people will lose everything. The media is scared of alligators, snakes, and independent people so it will be a two day story until someone burns a McDonald's down up north. Never seen such a well formed storm hit such a vulnerable low lying area.
We shall see. Hope they GTFO.Rideandrepair, spindrift and 650cat425 Thank this. -
Between 12-2am is landfall. Just shy of CAT 5
Rideandrepair and 650cat425 Thank this. -
Supposed to stay a hurricane all the way north to near Shreveport, then a strong tropical storm through most of Arkansas. I 30 from East Tx to near Little Rock will have winds 45-55 mph with gusts into the 60s. Have my generator ready to go.
Rideandrepair and Wasted Thyme Thank this. -
Well......I was scheduled to hit Little Rock this afternoon. Looks like Laura will win this one. I'll stop in OKC and fuel up in a few hours and re evaluate.
Snailexpress, Rideandrepair and Wasted Thyme Thank this. -
Be safe everyone.
