Many places will lock you up for that. Just try to get away with that in D.C., you can and will be arrested for just haveing ammo or a 12+ mag. They don't care about the Fed. firearms tranportation act. Besides in your case that wouldn't really fit the criteia for the NFTA

That's why I lined my interior with extra heavy tin foil to go along with the foil hat I wear, they'll never catch me....

 

Never had an issue with them. They are looking for smugglers not a single or couple of guns
