Yep. I remember this from when it first hit the web. Would really like to get all the back story.

 

I ever see someone do that IRL. I will personally boot them in the throat. Well probably not but I would definitely call them out on it and warn the driver.

 

That's why you always look under there when coming back to your truck. Always always always.

 

You know what I get a kick out of, the victim didn't do a pre check. I always as a rule do a pre and post check on my equipment anytime I'm stop. I do the walk around thing everytime I'm out of the truck PERIOD.

 

Since I saw this video on ttr about a year ago, I now check my fifth wheel every.single.time. You never know who you might piss off out there.

 

Same here especially since I drive for a mega. I'm sure there's tons of pissed off former Schneider drivers who would love to get even. 5th wheel, tires, slider, seal, lights, and quick look underneath. About a year ago I came back to the truck and found a guy crawling under my trailer in the pull up lane. I was sure glad I looked and didnt just take off. He said he dropped his keys somewhere. As believable as it seemed seeing as how frantic he was, I still had to be suspicious. That led to me backing into a spot and doing a full on pre trip again. Ya just never know.

 

A dick move, for sure, but better than arson.

I was the first to stumble across the Poland fire last night..... Surreal ####. I'm still in a pseudo-daze.

Only saying, on the grand scale: putting a 5th wheel is childs play.

 

You put pressure onto that 5th wheel every time you park. Not even God can pull that Kingpin then.
