If you needed to look for a new driving job I don't see very many companies if any using this as a reason to reject your application.

Your better off to show up in court an ask to just pay the fine without it going on your record. Most all judges will do that. Wear a shirt and tie.

    Old school..
get phone# of shipper/receiver,call and get very specific directions in/out of city and follow them to the "T"..
after loading/unloading inquire about exit route(it is often times different)..again follow directions safely get back out..

Laugh all you want about us "old schoolers"..we don't hit bridges or get truck route tickets..

    We have learned..(Experience)

This is the wrong place to look for sympathetic understanding from brother and sister truck drivers.
The Holy Drivers of Perfection here will pile on and pile on because you didn't appear to be submissive and contrite enough for the social harm you have caused by getting a ticket. :biggrin_25513:
    Tough (and silly) crowd here.

no sympathy when he will NOT take responsibility for his actions, and tries to blame it on the gps, and then the 4 wheelers, and traffic.... First words out in his post, It wasn't really my fault but here it goes

I have been on a few of these no truck type roads myself. It is a tense few moments whi;e you are looking around every where for a place to get turned around or a cop to nab you. Luckily though I never drive through unfriendly truck states and have never gotten fined yet.

cali cops don't care if your thinking about safety or not. no matter what you do, your in the wrong.

i was climbing a hill. sign says truck lane. SLOW MOVING VEHICLES ONLY. and at the top. sign says 45 mph. and another says 35 mph.
i was empty, so i was full speed up. with cars riding my butt and to the left of me. well, at the top. was nowhere for me to merge with trucks as there was that many trucks all bunched up. i used the jakes to slow down till trucks freed up some space. and watched my mirrors as the 3 cars behind me almost give my bumper a kiss. i'm also watching this cop, literally cutting off cars from the far left lane just to kiss my front bumper and pull me over on the right. and give me a speeding ticket.

you had to be there in person to witness. but that was the stupidest, unsafest cop in the world at that particular moment. only thing he cared about, was giving me a ticket.
