crst won't give me a pay advance because I already took a few during the week while sitting in a truck stop flour an entire week waiting on a load, for a while $25 to live on fast food because they refuse to send me to freightliner to get my fridge fixed... so their answer to me today was that I should have asked yesterday. I have $2 to last me until Monday morning, no food or water at all... all they want to say is I should have asked yesterday... too bad yesterday, money wasn't an issue until something unexpected came up last night.

and for people thinking about getting into this company... save your money and pay for your own cdl. then if crst is your only option because of your state, come with a decent amount of money in your bank, because if an emergency comes up during the weekend, they don't care whether you eat or not. they'll sit you for a while week just so you don't drive 200 miles on an empty trailer.

so far, since I got this truck, this job is choosing me more money than I'm making. Now for you 20 year drivers, I came here expecting low miles at first, since you all like to claim that we come expecting to make tons of money the first year... but 0 miles in an entire week is a little excessive

so now to figure out how I'm going to eat for the next few days, then hope my advances until Thursday, since I owe money because they take out for the contract regardless of if they give you any miles, leaves me actually bringing home any money out of this and my next load.

That's a sad situation! Call the top guy or someone over your dispatcher. Find a Walmart or Dollar Store & buy $2.00 worth of Ramen Noodles, I can't think of anything else to do.

I wouldn't do this today, but years ago you could get away with it; I worked for a company that would do the same as is happening to you. If you complained, they would cut off your fuel card, so we learned to top off the fuel tanks before calling in. I was told to sit a few days, with only $5.00 in my pocket, and was refused an advance. I topped off the fuel tanks before calling in. Sure enough, they cut off my fuel card. By the time the sun came up the next day, I had driven several hundred miles to the nearest terminal and turned the truck in; it was running of fumes, but I made it. I was calm & polite when I turned the truck in and quietly walked off their property. Today they would probably slam you with a bad DAC report.

Not good getting too many cash advances especially with pisspoor paychecks to begin with.Dispatchers do not care how long you sit because they have other drivers on their board to compensate for the unfortunate ones.Companies should start looking for a reload while youre under a load but they don't.Then some just plain forget youre sitting.I don't know why crest is a team company when they give you solo miles.

oh this was coming off of home time. I just finished with my trainer, who left me broke because he only ever would stop for fast food (that ### up fast). I got rushed out of my house to pick up this truck, with no loads planned at all... All over the principal that I was at home, but needed to be on a truck. and apparently I want supposed to get any layover pay while I was sitting that week. got a whole $40.

Sorry you're having a tough time.I was thru the same thing with another company. What made you decide to go with them to begin with?Eat all the low cost meals you can start trying to save and get the hell away from there. You can do much better.

First off do not get pay advance they just hurt you. 2nd a fridge on the truck most time its the fuse. Buy one at walmart for 69 bucks. Spending money wisely is needed with that company.. u could go in truck stops buy soup for 1 buck instead of fast food

the fridge is the actual unit that cos it. the fuse is fine, even tried a known good fuse. getting to Wal-Mart was the original goal, but I feel behind on being to eat because I couldn't get to one, cuz I want allotted to move the truck, and there were no bus routes in the area.

and I know advances are bad. normally I wouldn't have done it. but it started with $25 one day when I was told I'm getting a load tomorrow, to having to be every day because that load never came. if I can get to Wal-Mart with money, and at least get a 12v cooler, I can feed myself, healthy, on only 30-40 a week... a luxury of liking raw vegetables... it's just getting to that point where I get paid enough to last me until the next time I get paid.

I have this load, for 2900 miles, that's pretty much paying back my advances, then one already set up to deliver Tuesday for another 1600. if I can get the transflo in on time for that load, I might make it... and hopefully I can talk my codriver into investing in that cooler
