Well my buddy is on extended home time due to some MAJOR medical issues I will not go into detail I will just say he will be out over a month and his truck sits in his driveway. He got a call from one of the Woldings and they said of truck is secure keep it and get better. Now that is a darn good driver orientated company.

Wow that's really nice. I just talk to rep yesterday and will be meeting them next week. Really good to hear that. Do practical miles really make a big difference in the pay? I see they start out at 29 cpm but have practical miles so would it practical miles make up for it.

I have delivered new trailers to them, and they were well known in the industry as a trendsetter. Back in the 1980's they were heavily modifying their trucks(cabovers no less) for aerodynamics and fuel mileage. Some people even called them Wolding spaceships. I haven't driven for them, but from the outside they seem to be decent.

I drive for how, for about 7months,no complaints really, home every weekend, extra time off whenever I have needed it, generally between 2k and 3k for 5 days, just depends on how everything works out. I only do the Midwest.
Overall for starting out they have been ridiculously amazing to a new driver. I think they're pay is a little on the low side compared to others, but I think how they are to the drivers is a semi reasonable compromise. -
Oh and a lot of your miles will depend on how much you want them, I could get extra miles sleeping at shippers and receivers, but I prefer not to do it unless required. Or a lot of guys will stop during the day for various things, I won't except for the mandatory 30min.....just depends on how you want to run.

Very good I love all input on company and am excited to hopefully start with them after school.

You'll like it, I joined them right out of school as well. Some people said they had problems with their trainer, but mine was great.
Any questions let me knowduramax1 Thanks this. -
BKayrac where are you located what State? That sounds good as far as miles go for 5 days. How long is the training program? I don't make terrible money where I'm at now as long as I keep getting OT (non driving job) but I'm tired of it after 19 years. Another big thing for me is I have over 5 weeks of PTO a year so that always weighs on me jumping in. I do have a CDL from many years ago working at a co-op and I just renewed it and my hazmat last week. $132 with FP) I don't think I'll ever let the CDL go and I guess that's why I always think about driving. I appreciate any input on Wolding. Sounds like they're more flexible with time off than I thought.

How's the training and orientation work? How long and what goes on.

You can have a spotless record but if you are a stay at home parent or unemployed more than a year they won't hire you. Even if you had a good employment record before, a 95 average in Tech. College CDL school and an affidavit from neighbors you were taking care of your family. Not very family friendly to me.
Ozark Motor Lines will give someone raising a family a chance and get you home on weekends to see them. Start at 35 cpm dry van for rookies. If you have 3 months solo add in a $1,000 bonus. Oh and your Freightliner will have dual bunks versus single from what l have seen on the highways.
