So the Dept of Education couldn't protect the failing schools they were created to rescue? Why have the Dept of Education? EVERYONE has an excuse why the thing they wanted didn't work. It doesn't mean that excuse is true, it's an excuse. It's not supposed to be true just change the subject. The public school districts spending over $20k per student per year, after this imaginary theft of funds, have 1/3 or less of students reading at grade level. Dept of Education schools now have grades 1, 2, AND 3 to have children reading instead of the dark days before the Dept of Ed when it was necessary to read in grade 1 to go to grade 2. Your tax dollars at work. Govt business attracts govt teachers who get paid and protected regardless of results. The govt is fixing the schools good and hard and literacy is declining. They will fix the bathroom situation because EXCUSES.

 

Children were educated before mandatory govt schools and Stalinist direction of which schools children can attend. "If the govt doesn't do it then it won't be done." You proved my point. That's why nobody can fly except on govt airlines. Nobody can eat food except in govt restaurants. Etc. It's not your job or the govt's job to monitor people to serve your or the govt's purpose, comrade. My parents were poor and I went to a boutique elementary school that took in children of college professors and some from each city neighborhood and some from govt housing based on test scores not Stalinist maps and 5 year plans. I never made lots of money but saved and invested half or more of my income. I'm healthy enough to work but retired 5 years early because I can. I live on my money and investments.

BTW my AP History courses focused on the Progressive Era so you are stepping into my octagon if you want to argue politics. I was tested and excelled on the topic and have govt certificates to prove it and was given college credit for my studies of the subject in high school. It's a dead white European ideology and the last living example of European Imperialism being pushed by the white Starbucks Revolutionaries on black and brown people "for their own good".

 

Who actually sleeps 8 hours? I do every once in a while, nothing regular. Some trucking is actually hard work, but not nearly all trucking is. When I started driving, I felt I had got a gravy gig! Still do…. And if you look at who is wrecking out, it isn’t generally the more physical truckers. It’s the steering wheel holders. Who SHOULD have gotten 8+ hours of sleep, but still can’t keep it upright somehow?!?! Accident levels went up, not down with the introduction of ELDs, people drove like idiots trying to keep ahead of the infernal things. Make the Big Bro start regulating restrooms, and you are a side step away from having regulated and enforced potty brakes

 

Govt provided parents are the best parents, right? Nobody loves their child since there is no govt law requiring it and no govt providing govt approved love, well except in prisons.

 

In the flatbed forum, you have drivers posting dinner pic. They stop at truck stop restaurants, sit down and eat, get back in the truck and ride. Have you noticed that these guys take their time, relaxed, and not a one weighs anywhere near 350lb.

So, after pages and pages of other topics, back to this proposed bathroom law. ...
Now, I know I'm old school but I can't understand the issue. Humans have had to evacuate waste from their bodies for as long as there have been humans.
Most humans know this. And for most of human history, most humans have discovered or invented ways to handle the issue with few problems.
Here's the deal, as I see it.

1. You know you will have to relieve yourself from time to time. This is YOUR problem. Everyone else has their own need to relieve themselves from time to time. That is THEIR problem.

2. You are responsible for solving YOUR problem. Not the shipper, not the reciever, not the government. You.

3. You know you need a toilet. So get a toilet, keep it with you and keep it maintained. It's not that difficult people. If you're to dainty to take care of your own waste, you really need full time institutional care and have no business operatiing anything on wheels.

 

I can't speak for anyone else but I'm perfectly able to stop before a pick/drop and use the bathroom like an adult. I'm also able to drop a trailer and go elsewhere to use one if need be and I'd rather use my portable urinal or toilet instead of a nasty disgusting public commode. I also prefer not to smell some other guy's defecation.
