Further to my post in May, just filed a complaint with federal labor standards to the tune of $970. This covered unpaid orientation, unpaid hooks and splits, unpaid drops and wait time, all in one month. They even charged my pre employment drug test back to me. Also in the claim. Heard H & R stands for homeless and ragged. Perhaps should simply be Highway Robbers!

That was a great post, I work for H@R and it's been ok for the most part, trying to get home can be a bit of a gong show. You are right about one thing the driver's really are just a number no question about that. I have given them 5 good years and have had enough, the time has come to move on to a smaller outfit that thinks we are an asset not a number. If that even exists in this industry.

Strict and underpaid makes reliable useless.

    Satan's reliable, too, I bet.

I figure some of you complainers might have some other axe to grind with H&R. They ain't perfect but I've run mostly U.S for them the past 8 years - no big issues here. New equipment, minimal waiting times, benefits, and up to $65,000 a year. I've worked for other outfits that were a lot worse.

Umm heres the thing they ship not less then 100 cans by train every single week back and forth...You see now they dont want you home nor do they care to get you home THEY NEED YOU TO RUN LOCAL AND PAY BY THE MILE PERIOD !!! Let me guess you were sitting at the flying j in calgary waiting for them to get you home as they send you 100 miles runs day after day and say "well jus do these till we find you a run home right"??? Cmon this bs is getting old buttttt word is getting out and thats around the other countries drivers they shafted, they drained canada driver's resources years ago and seems their draining the rest of the world on drivers, they cant get the numbers they once had recruiting out of the country and thats a good thing for the x drivers posting this kinda of stuff via www (truth hurts eh)... :) Good news canadian goverment is keeping track of the amount of drivers of companys like H & R TransX Bison etc and they now asking the questions "why" are you going through this many drivers and thats a really good thing because they can yank their immigration hiring abilities and even forbid it, they done it to company like Mcdonalds Wendys etc so transportation companies jus a drop in bucket and H & R runs 85% immigrant so good bye H & R... Even if they did survive they would NOT have learned anything with management thats there. it like a computer problem spend weeks trying to figure out but you find easier jus to wipe it and start over that MUST be done there but then again i heard through grapevine they almost dead anyways nobody shipping with them anymore they lost too many contracts this year they are barely suriving highly doubtfull they going to pull through, lolololol...
