IF ANY IF YOU COME TO HOUSTON...I watch them pull over trucks ALL day long, for being on phones.
They catch you when you stop at the light and go for your phone bc your bored and the light is long. They hide with binoculars!!! Wtf? Worse place is Mcarty and 610 ..Throw your electronics in the bunk!!! :biggrin_25523:

I have still yet to get an inspection, not sure if im lucky or what but I should of had a few by now...
I wouldnt mind getting some here and there since if I pass then I get good points with the company.

There's no such thing as a good score when it comes to inspections. You either pass, or fail. You get points when you fail, and they aren't "atta boy" points.

I gotta add a comment on Houston. Not so much on 45 but on 59 there are ALWAYS a couple DOT trucks prowling/stopping guys. And 225 out by BW8 is a hot bed! And of course the loop near the Ship Channel.

In the past week across the country there have been a large number of crashes involving 18-wheelers, some with fatalities. Drivers died and they'll never know why, never know what distracted them.

And four of the drivers who died were 40 or older. It's been a bad week for trucking.

In one chain reaction crash six 18-wheelers were involved, those drivers came out ok and some said they had to make the choice to not hit a car, visibility was down to 20 feet due to heavy rain.

The cops can't tell if you've been a driver 35 years and scratching your ear or a brand new CDL scratching their ear.

And if they don't find anything else, you can count on them probably nailing you for the slightest bit of "chaffing" on your supply lines . . . that happened to hubby when I rode along to Texas with him a couple of weeks back. Written warning, and the "chaffing" almost required a magnifying glass to be seen.
