I believe that to be the situation. he came over the top of the hill hot, saw the loaded truck, swerved and stomped on the brakes. probably a little extra stomp when he saw me coming up the hill in "his" lane.

Yea hence problems stacking onto problems. That bridge after he got by both of you must have been something for him. HA. (Sorry...) Ive watched too many american roadrunner cartoons where the Coyote is overloaded with too many problems of increasing physics.

gotta give the guy some credit for not totally losing control. had he lost it with his drive axles coming out from under him on his swerve around that other loaded truck and back to the middle I'm not sure I'd be here today. all three of us would have been in a bad way. I'm just happy it went the way it did, of course I'd prefer it never happened at all...

With ABS, I doubt he stalled the engine. Sounds like an excuse to me.

If that hill is what I think it is downgrade not even God's own ABS would help. I'll go along with excuses.

Some company owners do not give a #### about excuses. I had one like that some years ago. IF something came up and he demanded answers, I told him forget it. You already made up your mind, find another driver.

WOT!? and so on so forth. Sometimes I wonder....

What I did learn is document problems. Names, places, times, dates, situation and who says what to whom when and where and why etc. Once i break out that big story book and start off telling the tripnumber in Genesis and tell the story of the problem trip until I get to the Exodus the powers that be generally had enough because they already know all that.
