Yeah, contact the office; never know when someone will quit or retire and leave a vacancy.

Given your unique situation of resuming CDL duty post-stroke....my guess is your doctor would much prefer you get into something that's a bit less stressful. Why set yourself up for (potentially) another stroke? :dontknow:

A respectable working solution: for future CDL opportunities -- go tanker! Put those upcoming hazmat & tanker endorsements to good use, and also -- sidestep the current general freight slump.

Generally speaking -- tanker deliveries and customers will give you a noticeably better experience -- than other forms of freight.

The "tanker, bulk and dump truck" Forum subsection is full of threads that describe how tanker life is just BETTER.

The vast majority of drivers who switch over to tanker duty -- later wish they had done so, sooner. :p

If you like that sort of logic...here are two current opportunities in your area, that require tanker and hazmat....and are looking for drivers like you:

Fort Transfer -- OTR duty -- TWIC card req'd also

Quality Carriers -- TWIC card req'd also

Other tanker opportunities will likely become available by the time your get your endorsements.

Note: that hazmat endorsement....and the TWIC card....will weed out a lot of competition for those jobs.

    Think about it.....
