By the way, it is this type of dirt bag behavior that causes brokers to avoid giving shipper and receiver contact information to their carriers, and causes brokers to lose trust in the carriers they work with.

User666, Dale thompson and Brettj3876 Thank this.

Ugh, so much nastiness on here. And I can't believe how blatant some of you are about your willingness to break your word (contract). There are a gazillion drivers and brokers out there. You were looking for a load when you found that one, so if it isn't for you: move on. I ask the right questions, like one of the other posters said, and I make it clear I don't do trackers. If it works, great. If not, I make the next call. If you get screwed, put them on your black list. At least give people a chance, driver and broker alike.

As I get older and crankier, I daydream how nice it would be to have a load board that doesn't involve having to call the broker. Load details and rate in black and white. Want it? Click it before the other guy. Quick and easy with no b.s.

Overall, I really don't mind brokers. It's not hard to weed out the bad ones. Just as it isn't hard to weed out the bad carriers. Personally, I hope every broker out there gets filthy rich...right after they make ME filthy rich...

As much as i would love to steal some of the local freight we do, I wouldn't feel right about it and wouldn't someone doing that to me.

I will never understand some people’s approach to doing business,I don’t believe some people even understand who there customers are.If you don’t want a broker as a customer don’t ask for it and yes if you can’t figure out who your customers are they are the ones who pay you money. If you want to own a trucking business it’s a lot more then saying I’m the best driver.Your biggest assist is can you sell your service can you get business or load yourself if you can’t and totally are reliant on brokers and then constantly complaining and arguing with your customer why did you get your own authority doesn’t sound like you should have since you don’t have an ability to sell your services to companies or were able to hire a person to get that done.

I don't disagree, but I suspect that that was the thought process. I'm sure that there's a certain subset that will just curiously to get the story.
