Is it question of when, not if, you'll fall off a flatbed? If so, I'll just cross it off my list.

I had my fair share. Good thing I was young (18) back then. Was walking along the side edge of the trailer(loaded with sand on pallets)in the middle of the night, I missed the footing and fell side ways. Knock the wind out of me. Good thing there some sand on the ground which help cushion some of the fall.
jamespmack, Tb0n3 and JC1971 Thank this. -
Especially if he is anywhere near a Pilot or Loves....jamespmack and D.Tibbitt Thank this.

Learn while your young, an old man has much slower reflexes. That fall will make you much more careful in the future. Hurting your pride is much less painful than all other outcomes.jamespmack, BigBob410, beastr123 and 4 others Thank this.

I was tarping a load in Laredo TX. About 12' off the ground. Had it covered and took a step into what I thought was a solid part. I started to fall into a hole and tried to catch my self on what I also thought was a solid piece.
I tripped/slid off the load. Onto the ground shoulder first. Broken collarbone, dislocated elbow and a cut that required 23 stitches to close.
I wasn't crawling on the tarp because it was too hot. Even with gloves and jeans my hands and knees were burning.jamespmack, BigBob410, whoopNride and 2 others Thank this.
