I scrolled up and didn't find my answer that's why I asked! Just wanted to know after you get through training are they providing housing or are you on your own? They don't share this info on their website I guess I should just call and ask!

Oh I see what you’re saying.. like once you’re in the field? I’m pretty sure. If you look up their address on google maps (at least the one in elmedorf) you’ll see their entire operation it looks like google haha

The CPL (permit) is actually required prior to orientation. It’s in bold print on your next step paperwork. They actually sent people home right after orientation to their respective states so they can get their permit and hopefully be placed into a trucking school soon after. Not having your permit slows up your truck driving school entrance and will have you possibly stuck in the yard sweeping an entire truck pad.
Right now I’ve been in a hotel for the past 3 1/2 weeks finishing up driving school. I checkout soon and finally headed back to Midland for the Evaluation. You won’t have to worry about any housing arrangements, it’s all taken care of. You just have to show up with a positive attitude and do whatever they tell you. You’ll be fine.

No once NEO (orientation) is over they’ll set you up in either a mancamp or a motel. It depends on where you’ll be working out of. During the week long orientation you’ll be at a mancamp probably in Midland. If you’re doing a trucking type job such as Cement or Frak you’ll be sleeping in your truck sleeper the entire time you’re on hitch. Cement rarely stays at the mancamp until they’re leaving going home the next morning and things slow down while you’re on call.

Quick question. Since Halliburton pays for you to get your CDL, from what I’ve researched you have to basically work there for a year or whatever their requirement is, but throughout this time, will they be deducting a certain amount from what I’d be getting paid?

Yes that’s correct. You have to sign a year contract. If you quit before that 12 months you’ll have to fork up $3500 or $5,000. Can’t remember the exact figure. But if there’s layoffs before the 12 months you don’t have to pay it back.

    Jacob976 Thanks this.

But no they don’t deduct it from your paycheck.
