Use of computers and ham radio isn't new we were interfacing radios to commodore 64's back in the day , used it for packet and decoding cw abck then. It kind of felt like cheating on cw though. I enjoy cw, but I agree that it should have been dropped due to the change of times and technology. Code will get through when voice is having difficulty making the trip.
