I'm still trying to figure out the fascination with wide band hifi audio on cb. If the radio on the receive end hasn't been wide-banded, only so much of the signal will get through. You would need a good shortwave receiver to actually hear the whole thing. Does the FCC even regulate the width of the signal?

It's not as wide as you might think and I believe he said the other day he's only 4000 Hertz wide before it starts to taper off and only 7500 hertz wide at the bottom of the taper or its widest point which gives him a 1,250 hertz cushion on either side of the channel . If it bleeds on adjacent channels I'm sure somebody would be complaining.Last edited: Jan 17, 2018
