    the 2510s had darn fine reception. if anything, the Icom will have superior sideband abilities over the 2510, such as better filtering and channel rejection.

    the difference in an Icom or Yaseu (spelling?) compared to a 2510 is like comparing the 2510s sideband performance to a Galaxy sideband rig. the galaxies can be upgraded and helped on sideband, but they still suck. i havent seen one yet that didnt drift.

    dont get me wrong, i love my galaxy 99, but they are simply an am radio that lets you spy on the ham bands.

    Mine don't seem to drift much once they are good and warm. (Mirage 9900 and Galaxy 88.
