Thanks for your reply. I have the throttle almost down pat. The only problem I am having now is floating the gears down. Up is of course no problem, but controling the speed & matching RPMs going down is. I could take the easy wey out and just get endorsed for automatics, but this is more of a challenge, besides I will be able to drive anything this way, and I feel I need to master the #### 10 speed. For downshifting under braking you could try heel-toe braking. Left side of your right foot on the brake, right edge of your heel modulating throttle. I suppose it could be possible to do with your left foot.

What would stump me is trying to start from a stop loaded going uphill without rolling. The clutch and brake are a little far apart for trying to modulate both with the same foot...

I cannot give you advice but I read this article not too long ago it was interesting as well. http://www.theledger.com/article/20080619/NEWS/806190447 Check it out. This guy lost his left lower leg. Besides that you guys are AMAZING! God bless you! I am a student driver but this definitely inspired me to do better myself. I hope you meet all of your life's endeavors head-on like you met this one.

Update on Handicaped driver, right leg amputee. I have my CDL!! Took a roadtest with a state tester who has done nothing for the last 50 years but drive truck. He ran me thru the ringer, a two hour test drive, and he said he would ride with me anytime. Used a Volvo 10 speed, floated the gears and passed pretrip and brake check with flying colors. I have heard that this was the longest roadtest he ever gave, and I passed totaly!! Proud of this!!!Bill
