I havei seen articles in magazines of drivers in wheel chairs driving modified tractors. I know a driver personally that had a bad motorcycle accident and has trouble walking any distance and has a handicap permit.He can pass DOT physical.There are probably many such scenarios.

You also have RVs that use truck parking and/or passengers in the truck.

I agree with the idea and the enforcement of handicap spots, used to take my grandmother to the store and other place and she was handcapped but I don't agree that if you are driving a truck you should have a handicap sticker. If you can't secure your own load, walk around the truck to do a pretrip or what ever it is that prevents you from doing physically active work, then you don't need to be driving a truck.

Now we got all the dumb selfish drivers from the hood, and hillbilly trailer parks, using their grandmothers handicap stickers. Super! Start utubing these idiots.

It is very possible to have bad knees, etc that prevent a driver from walking a great distance and still be able to walk the truck and secure the load.

I got a purple heart so if I really wanted to I could get one but I'm not lazy and fully capable of walking.
