I'm not much familiar with intermodal but it appears if the Korean courts order them to liquidate rather than restructure there will be some big repercussions. Creditors are gonna seize the ships as soon as they enter port along with all their cargo, along with the cargo held as collateral by land carriers as OPs company is doing. -

I just read the rates declined for transit from China to Cali $ 2,000 per 40 box in Jan 2010 declining to the rate as of Aug 2016 $564 per 40 box. The price of a Ship charter per day declined 26,000 a day to 13,000 per day. It's bad but man the shipping lines catching it too.
