This is really bad! But also good for companies direct with steam ship lines. Brokers will look else where to book their loads with other steam shiplines (CMA..ZIM...COSCO..HYUNDIA..ECT)
The Bad:
- Companies that planned around hanjin are royally ####ED. -
I see they were $5.5 billion in debt

They should of talked to the American Gov'y... Since they are non-American, I'm sure our administration would of gave them the money....

Imagine what the chassis companies are going through right now, COCP/Trac lease - all those Hanjin boxes all over America sitting on their chassis - With no place to terminate / lift off. Who will the chassis companies bill back for the usage?

So here’s where we are at this moment. The chassis providers that we’ve heard from intend to continue to bill for chassis usage until the chassis are returned. Any chassis outgated effective today under a Hanjin box will be billed to the trucker even if it’s a door move.
Basically - we have no where to terminate but we're still being billed for. What the ####Mike2633 Thanks this. -
