The money is there, but don't go into it thinking your gonna hit those $2000 weeks at the start. I just got my own truck Wednesday, and let me tell you, its a different ballgame when your by yourself and you have a mixed load of cars, trucks, and SUV's going to two dealerships. It can be very intimidating and frustrating at first. Those of you pulling out of plants are probably not as bad, but the railyards can be tough on beginners.

 

That's the terminal alot of guys want say you can make 1800 and that's almost being lazy

 

Yeah they say new people when they get by there self it take them bout 5 hours to load up starting out if I can bring home after taxes 800.00 a week I'm happy. I hope he get me a truck down here I don't want to fly back I only got 1 vehicle at the moment if I drive my car to Tennesseeand they say he send you home with loads my car will be stuck in Tennessee and I live In Alabama I won't get my car for another week or longer

 

What kinda truck you get Shane a Sterlington a Volvo or freightliner

 

I got a Volvo with a quick load trailer. Got 340000 miles, but its a pretty decent truck. You should be able to bring home $800 no problem. I brought home $779 training pay getting paid by the hour this week.

 

That's good then. The other guy in my class and me we getting Sterling trucks. I know they got a million or 2 miles on them. Long as the cd player heat and accessories work I don't care how it look and drive right. What do you haul? Kia

 

I'm pulling out of the Birmingham railyard. We haul GM and Chrysler out of there.

 

Alot of big units out of BHM

 

I'll be pulling GM out of Lawrenceville we also a Chrysler there too but Jack Coopers in that Lawrenceville yard also usal is in the Lawrenceville yard and JMN all in the same Lawrenceville yard with Hanson Atkins

 

USAL is in our yard as well, but they have the Honda freight
